Build
Custom Claude skills, optimised workflows, and the infrastructure that runs them. Build sprints that ship working systems — into production, in daily use, missed if offline.
Once the pain is named and the move is clear, the work is to ship the system. Build is where Codify and Optimise become production — skills your team uses every day, workflows wired into the tools you already have, infrastructure that runs without you in the room.
No proof-of-concepts that never ship. No frameworks-as-deliverables. We scope the build tight, ship working software into your environment, and bake the measurement in from the start.
What we build
Custom Claude skills — Codify a recurring task — drafting, summarising, reviewing, classifying — into a reusable skill your team triggers on demand. Voice and standards baked in.
Workflow redesign — Map how the work actually flows, name what's AI-handled vs. human-handled, ship the new shape with quality gates in place.
Automated reporting — Pull data from multiple sources, summarise it in your voice, and deliver formatted reports on a schedule.
Content and comms pipelines — Draft, review, and format content from briefs or raw inputs, with human approval at the right gates.
Internal tools and infrastructure — Custom AI-powered tools for your team's specific needs — search, classification, summarisation, or decision support — and the infrastructure to run them reliably.
Operate retainers — When the system is built but you don't want the maintenance overhead, we run it on a fractional basis. Capability without the responsibility.
How it works
Identify the opportunity — We map your workflows and pinpoint where AI creates genuine time savings or quality improvements.
Scope and design — Define exactly what the workflow does, what triggers it, and where a human stays in the loop.
Build and test — Develop the workflow, test it against real data, and refine until it's reliable.
Deploy and transfer — Ship it into your environment with documentation and monitoring. You own the system completely.
Why diagnosis comes first
Building software for an unnamed pain ships fast and breaks fast. The best Build sprints follow a clear diagnosis: which task, run how often, by whom, costing what. With that named, the build is tight; without it, the build is theatre.
That's why we recommend starting with an audit. If you've already named the pain — through your own work, a previous engagement, or a GSD Retainer cycle — we can move straight to scoping the build.
Start with an auditCommon questions
How much does this cost?
Scoped per engagement. We agree the scope, the measurement, and the price up front before any build. Most builds run as 2–6 week sprints with a fixed scope and a clear ship date.
What tools do you build with?
The skill, the workflow, and the system the team already uses. Claude is the default for skill-shaped work; we plug into Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, email, databases, APIs, and custom tools as needed. The integration is the work, not the headline.
Will AI replace my team?
No. We build skills and workflows that take the repetitive work off your team's plate so they can focus on judgement, relationships, and the creative parts of the job. Human oversight is built into every workflow we design.
What AI models do you use?
The best tool for each job — typically a mix of frontier models from Anthropic, OpenAI, and open-source alternatives. We optimise for reliability and cost, not hype.
What if I just need someone to run the system you build?
That's the Operate retainer. Once the system is shipped and validated, we can run it on a fractional basis — capability without the maintenance overhead. Scoped separately when the build is complete.
